I really enjoy both CD'S, although I'm a little disappointed that the CD wouldn't import to my amazon music app and took great difficulty in trying to import the music and titled itself 'Now That's What I call Music 37' :-(

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Brilliant Now Album
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 August 2015

The team at Now! have released another brilliant album, perfect for the summer of 2015 - Now 91. Packed full of up to date chart hits and just like many of the summer Now albums this one doesn't fail to disappoint, however just like all the other Now albums some songs I felt they should have included didn't make the album, there aren't many which is good because it goes to show they did a decent job with the overall tracklisting, here are the list of songs I felt they should have included starting with the most obvious :-

Fetty Wap - Trap Queen - The number 1 mysterious absentee for me. Was so surprised they didn't include it on this album as it is very well heard of these days and it peaked at a decent #8 on the UK Singles Chart, there are many many more songs on this album that peaked much lower than this one. Now 92 maybe?

Lawson - Roads - Definitely not there finest effort it has to be said, although it wasn't as successful as their other songs that have appeared on Now albums 'When She Was Mine' (Now 82), 'Taking Over Me' (Now 83), 'Standing in the Dark' (Now 84) and 'Juliet' (Now 86) (all made the top 10 rather comfortably) but it did peak just outside the top ten at #11, however it did fall rather quickly and only lasted a total of about 3 weeks in the UK top 40 altogether, maybe that's why they didn't include it.

Rixton - We All Want the Same Thing - Although it wasn't as successful as No. 1 breakthrough single 'Me and My Broken Heart' and 'Wait on Me' (both of course featured on Now albums 88 and 90 respectively) it still made the top 40 peaking at #21, and giving the fact this album has included quite a handful of songs that only managed to peak in their 20's it makes you think they could have included it.

Ella Eyre - Together - A catchy tune it has to be said, and it matched the success of her previous single 'Comeback' at #12 which of course was missed off Now 90, so maybe that's why they decided to miss this song off this album? Makes you wonder why her debut single 'If I Go' made last summer's Now album Now 88 as it peaked lower than both these two songs at #16.

Mumford & Sons - Believe - Not really that heard of it has to be said but it is however their second highest single to date after 'I Will Wait'. Peaked at #20 on The UK Single Chart higher than both 'Little Lion Man' and 'The Cave' and both those two songs featured on Now albums 74 and 77, felt like they should have included this one.

Ed Sheeran - Photograph - 'Bloodstream' was included instead and i'm guessing the reason for that is because it peaked a fair bit higher and could also be a sign this song will be saved for Now 92, we shall have to wait and see.

Birdy - Wings - Her highest charting single to date and it peaked higher than her song 'Skinny Love' which of course appeared on Now 79, maybe they could have included it?

Alesso feat. Roy English - Cool - Awesome tune which peaked at #10 on The UK Singles Chart. Real shame they didn't include it, samples Kylie Minogue's single 'Get Outta My Way' which of course featured on Now 77. His previous single which featured Tove Lo 'Heroes' made Now 90 so it makes you wonder why they didn't include this song on here.

Sigma feat. Ella Henderson - Glitterball - Ends Sigma's run of appearing on a Now album after appearing on the last three, 'Nobody to Love' on Now 88, 'Changing' on Now 89 and 'Higher' on Now 90. Most definitely would have made it had it been released a week or two earlier, will surely make Now 92 though.

Calvin Harris feat. Disciples - How Deep is Your Love - Same case here, most definitely would have been included had it been released a week or two earlier, ends Calvin Harris' run of appearing on the last nine Now albums, he had appeared in every single one since Now 82 before this one, including double appearances on Now 83 and Now 90.

Stevie McCrorie - Lost Stars - Well known as being the winner of the fourth series of the voice, he released his cover of Adam Levine's song 'Lost Stars' back in April at it peaked at #6 on The UK Singles Chart. Again, felt like they could have included it.

That's about all of the absent songs I can think of right now thankfully there aren't too many however this album in my opinion does include a fair few 'fillers' which didn't perform too well in the charts but instead of listing them I will make a list of the songs that peaked outside the top 20, starting from highest to lowest.

Kygo feat. Parson James - Stole the Show #24
Florence + the Machine - Ship to Wreck #27
Astom Merrygold - Get Stupid #28
Rudimental feat. Foy Vance - Never Let You Go #29

Out of the four listed I will only consider the songs 'Never Let You Go' and 'Stole the Show' as potential fillers, the reason I didn't mention the other two is because 'Ship to Wreck' although it only made #27 still peaked TEN places higher than her previous single 'What Kind of Man' which of course featured on Now 90, so going by that they felt like they had to include it. Aston Merrygold's 'Get Stupid' was quite simply a flop, it's almost like Now had no idea it would only peak at a rather poor #28, it is after all the former JLS' member's debut single. JLS were a popular boyband with quite a few No. #1's so they obviously thought this song would do well, but they were wrong. It's rather high up placing on CD 1 just about proves that.

As for 'Stole the Show' and 'Never Let You Go' I see these as definite filler tracks. Thought it was a bit unessecary to include 'Stole the Show' as Kygo already has his much more successful song 'Firestone' on here, he's not even a really big name artist either, therefore I don't feel he should have a had a double appearnce, on a plus note it is a good song. 'Never Let You Go' by Rudimental isn't a bad song either but it did perfrorm really poorly at #29 seeing as it is their debut single from their upcoming second studio album, it had also already reached it's peak of #29 and fallen when the track list was revealed so Now! knew it flopped a little, I guarantee if it wasn't their lead single from their second album, they wouldn't have included it.

Although this album does have a few songs that peaked outside the top 20 of The UK Singles Chart, every single song on the album managed to peak inside the top 30 of The UK Singles Chart, This is the first time since Now 85, Rudimentals' 'Never Let You Go' peaking the lowest at #29.

One last thing I would like to add is that a lot of people giving this album 1 star reviews have complained due to this album mysteriously not being added to the Music Library, didn't annoy me really altough I did find it rather odd, who needs the Music Library when you can just listen to it in Windows Media Player?

Another minor thing to mention is that disappoiningly enough, this album is one the shortest Now's in recent years, CD 2 is only 73:23 in length compared to a more full CD 1 which is 77:39 in length which makes you wonder they could have included an extra song or two on CD 2, last years Now 88 got 45 tracks 1 more than this album, but i'd say they are on par with each other overall so it's not so bad :) It's also nice to see that not too many of these tracks have been hacked to death the only obvious one being the first track Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do' which I think cuts out an entire verse.

On the whole then I think this album overall is better than both Now 89 and Now 90 but is on par with Now 88. It's another brilliant album folks and its another typical strong decent summer Now! album, well worth buying. in fact, I think it is the only album you will need this summer, happy days :)

4.0 out of 5 stars AutoRip Discontinued?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 July 2015

Been collecting the Now albums since Vol. 40, and been pleased that Amazon have offered the AutoRip Service in recent years, so disappointed this seems to have stopped with this edition.

If this is a technical oversight with the recent change to Friday releases for albums then fair enough, hopefully it can be put right quite quickly. If this is an agreement that has been reached between Amazon and the producers of the album then that is a sad development as having a digital version easily available when you already have a physical copy is a positive development given what is now technically possible.

Personally I like having a physical copy so will continue to buy the CDs regardless in future, but with no AutoRip I will have to shop around more carefully in future.

I only recently started putting reviews on products, (been an Amazon customer since 2002), and I've realised that with things like CD compilations, if you don't already know what you're getting, it was a bit dumb to buy it in the first place.
With the 'Now' CDs this is especially true, so all my reviews for these will be 5*, because I know the songs before I purchase, love some of them, like others & can't stand some.
These are brilliant albums if you want to keep up to date with the latest pop tracks and are always easy to listen to, with the swear words cut on the more edgy ones so kids can listen as well.
So if you read the track listings and like them, then buy it, if you don't then don't. Simple.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good selection and I haven't had to skip tracks.

The Now franchise is never going to please everyone with each release. I had gone off Chart music and hence the Now series in the mid noughties, but from about Now 87 I am hooked again. The music is much more to my taste I guess.

Now 91 is great in my opinion and I can play both CDs back to back and not want to skip tracks. I always buy these 6 months later than release (unless there is an offer) as I listen to most stuff on Spotify first and then add to my MP3 collection later when the price has come down.

Disc 1 is great but disc two says its now 63 and lists all the wrong tracks even though its the right music so i am going to have to retype each one in to get it on my mp3. Not happy about this and not the first time its happened with a Now Thats What I Call Music cd. You would think with today's technology they could at least get the right listings on a cd !!!!!!!!!!!!
